Arizona Land Partners exists to make opportunistic land purchases. We look at hundreds of properties to buy only one. We purchase strategic parcels, for cash, in the path of growth, with an eye carefully fixed on development cycles. We then position that land for resale to developers by adding value through entitlement (the process of working with local municipalities to establish an approved development plan). The results are substantial increases in the value of the properties (sometimes radical increases in those values) and outstanding returns for our investor-partners.

Kevin and Brian have been active in this market for the better part of three decades. They met in 1991 when both were in their mid to late 20s and have participated together in land purchases and partnerships ever since. Recently, Brian has left his activity in residential income property to focus his efforts exclusively on investing in land through his partnership with Kevin.

Brian Matlock

Brian is a Phoenix native and has been acquiring real estate in the Phoenix area since 1989. He has been deeply involved in the acquisition, renovation and resale of large and small apartment complexes, portfolios of single-family homes, fix-and-flip home and apartment renovations, new home construction, land entitlement projects, as well as hundreds of homes and land transactions through direct trustee-sale bidding and wholesale activity. He currently resides in the Arcadia neighborhood of East Phoenix.

Brian began his investing career while serving as a youth pastor at the age of 25 in Fountain Hills Arizona. With humble beginnings and limited resources, he built a portfolio of over 100 rental units, which created the equity and became the foundation for his later real estate ventures. Brian is an avid reader, a musician, windsurfer, traveler and active church member.
